how it works

Discovery Meeting

First, we conduct a no cost discovery meeting with you to gain a deeper understanding of your business strategy, challenges, opportunities, and the high-level requirements for your SharePoint initiative. This enables us to design the best solution to address your needs. It also enables us to gather the information necessary to develop a proposal for the first phase of our process; planning.

Our goal is to understand your requirements and prerequisites, perform checks in your current environment to identify potential bottlenecks, and make recommendations on issues to be resolved.

The preparation phase allows for documentation of environment-specific configurations, application customization, and identifies dependencies that will be carried over to the new platform.

The testing phase involves actual movement of production content into a staging area to test migration impact points and allow for a staged manner of reproducing/fixing migration issues.

This second-to-last phase is the actual migration phase that involves the upgrade and migration of content databases into the new SharePoint environment.

During this phase we review the migration completion results, identify visual changes needed, and complete the process after validation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we get started on an Office 365 transition?

A good start typically includes a current state check and planning around business needs, migration scope and effort estimates for a phased implementation.

Can you help us improve the efficiency of our intranet?

Absolutely. A best-case scenario of efficient setup and use of an Office 365 platform is both a business and technological challenge. Successful implementations require both Stakeholder/IT collaboration and commitment to enable the power of the platform. We put business needs first to help resolve technology challenges and ensure a successful transition.

Do you have experience with both Office 365 and on-premise implementations?

We have consulting and hands-on experience managing unique, large-scale migrations and upgrades with both on-premise and Office 365 implementations of SharePoint, Dynamics, and Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps.

"Trabon played an integral role in the successful execution of our SharePoint initiative. They not only demonstrated deep technical knowledge regarding the platform, they were able to quickly understand the numerous business issues driving the project. This made my life considerably easier, as they were able to help us identify potential upstream/downstream operational impacts to be addressed, while keeping our internal IT staff and business executives focused on achieving the business goals of the project."

- Director, Information Technology, Healthcare Insurance

When I joined the company, we quickly identified the need to enhance our systems, processes, and data mining abilities to position the company for growth. To do this, we knew that we would need to bring in outside expertise.  After extensive discussions, we chose Trabon Solutions. They brought in a highly seasoned consultant that was able to quickly understand the complexity of our multiple business segments, gain a high level of trust with our associates, and identify the opportunities and gaps that existed in our systems and process. Trabon delivered well above expectations in both timeline and recommendations.  With our limited staff and knowledge base of what exists, engaging Trabon has saved us considerable time, money, and frustration over the option of us doing this ourselves.
